What's Green Bikes for Peace project?
The Green Bikes for Peace project was a 30-day-long biking tour crossing 5 countries, with youth participating. The aim of the trip was to draw attention to sustainability. Thus various programs and subprojects are organized before and during the trip, in order to demonstrate different aspects of sustainability in a creative way. Coca-Cola Hungary is committed to sustainable development, and within that pays special attention to CSR projects related to freshwater conservation across the Danube. In Hungary Coca-Cola has been the main supporter of the International Danube Day for the sixth consecutive year organizing the event hand in hand with civil organizations and the government. In the recent years the company contributed 30 million HUF to the freshwater conservation and eco-tourism projects of the Duna-Drava National Park. In 2008 Coca-Cola Hungary in cooperation with WWF and the local government of Mohacs launched a joint program to revitalize the endangered Freedom Island.
