What's Green Bikes for Peace project?
The Green Bikes for Peace project was a 30-day-long biking tour crossing 5 countries, with youth participating. The aim of the trip was to draw attention to sustainability. Thus various programs and subprojects are organized before and during the trip, in order to demonstrate different aspects of sustainability in a creative way. Our project had many partners and sponsors. The detailed route and dates of the trip. The development of the project can be followed in the diary!
Fairy island in the Szigetköz

In the morning the group had excellent backwind to cycle towards Hungary after the short section in Slovakia, on an ideal bike path along the Danube. On the way we stopped to have a bath, then we had a look at the concrete dams of the Cunovo reserve, where the group, in the meantime becoming expert in water management could see what human power is capable of.
In Dunasziget Zoli Fűzfa expected us in the Ecology Park, where after seeing the display centre the group embarked in kanoes and rowed away on the wonderful Zátonyi-Danube. Of course, we could not miss the monkey swing, where a spontaneous international jumping competition developed. After dinner the company started serious professional conversations based on the experiences of the past few weeks. Szigetköz was a real wonderland.

1. the danube delta in Hungary
Leaving behind the capital of Slovakia, we arrived to a piece of nature of the top quality, called Szigetköz. I was totally amused when we got there. It's a delta, which feels like a jungle along the Danube. We rode the bike there, and canoed on a branch of the river. The Danube separates thousands of branches there. Breathtaking. Of course we had to try the monkey swing as well.
But this's just one part of this wonderland. The other one is the eco park, and the eco house where we stayed. When you're in this beautiful enviroment, eating the goat chese made there, seeing, smelling, hearing and touching the nature, you just can't wish for more.
There's also like an educational center there, emphasising and explaning the importance of the water and the nature in general via posters, puzzles, and other games. I must say I really enjoyed it, though they were made rather for children and families. Now I got it why. 'Cause we're a big family :D
2. beeing blown away
I was expected a beautiful enviroments, but the reality was simply mindblowing....
while canoeing in the river I was literally speechless...
going to be back soon...:))
3. Canoening
Thanks for my canoe team, Laurin and Savior!:) We had a very exciting, extrem-canoin with touching the shrubby at the riversides. And also it's sur, that we made the longest distance with our crisscross control technology. And the nature was very beautiful!!
After the riding I couldnt imagine, that I have more energy, but the canoening was a very great experience. And so that we swimmed in the lake, rided the bike and with the canoening it was a really sporty day. :)
