What's Green Bikes for Peace project?

The Green Bikes for Peace project was a 30-day-long biking tour crossing 5 countries, with youth participating. The aim of the trip was to draw attention to sustainability. Thus various programs and subprojects are organized before and during the trip, in order to demonstrate different aspects of sustainability in a creative way. There are rainy days when cyclists can only hope it will stop soon. This would have been especially important on that day when the most important cultural event took place, coordinated by Péter Pusker. However, the sky did not have mercy on us on that day. In the morning Zoli Fűzfa invited us into the visitor centre again, where he put us into the picture with the whole Bős-Nagymaros problem, and also showed the alternative rehabilitation proposal of SZITE University, which will provide a long-term development opportunity for the region, especially in eco-tourism. Zoli impressed us with the creative games of the model site examplifying ecological balance. We were given a recipe against the cruel spreading of globalisation, which started us off into the pouring rain.

In Lipót we took our dear sturgeon, which we inaugurated on the main square of the city at 5 P.M., accompanied by mobile music and a photo exhibition. By that time the sun was shining, however our programmes, which had been organised for weeks failed. Meanwhile, we occupied the bank of the Danube, and then closed this busy day full of adventures in the Rómer House.
