Goodbye to the Danube, arrival at Mohács

kobrizsa's picture

After a slow wake-up, which took us an entire morning we rode back to the bike path, on another hot day. After a quick break in Dunafalva, another splash followed, and then we proceeded to Mohács on the left bank of the Danube. We had been cycling on the banks of the Danube, and we knew we had to say goodbye to it on this day eventually. A fish soup from the Danube, then there was some discussion on the yard of the dormitory about the events of the past few weeks. I think everybody was impressed by the many splashes, the chain of picturesque landscapes and the dynamic excitement in the cities. We learnt a lot about the Danube through our senses. Finally we really feel and understand: I love Danube!

1. i love danube

a great farewell to our most beloved river. the danube. all of us jumped in the river and enjoyed the water. we didnt need to shower before we dressed up nicely, at least hanna and me, and went for the first fishsoup of my life. i realiced this river gives us all we need, water to drink and wash and fish to eat, not to forget the nice atmosphere to relax and the water to swim. but still we dont care very much, to keep it alive, free and clean. possible because, we are afraid of its power. and that we are no longer aware of its importance for our busy lifes.
